I’ve posted a few items over the last years, but due to a series of life changes, I’ve been quite inactive on this blog. I hope to change that and get involved again. There are no schedules now, no promises to post on a daily or weekly basis, as I had attempted to do before, but Bulletin readers will see many more posts, more frequently!
Previously, my Facebook activity, in relation to this blog, consisted of a fan page (Our Krazy Kulture, named after one of my shops), but to replace this page, I have started a “Group,” more appropriately titled “Old Time Radio Bulletin.” To join this Facebook group, simply click here and join.
Thanks for you patience and thanks for reading the Old Time Radio Bulletin!

Since I started this blog, a little more than a month ago, I’ve experimented with a variety of formats and think that I have found one that will work without over-taxing myself.
The new “schedule” (for the remainder of 2009) will be as follows:
Sunday: My day of rest (but don’t be surprised if I post something anyway.)
*Weekdays will usually reflect the current day & month, but occasionally, I may post articles that do not fit the “format,” especially if I’m not feeling well or have a case of research burn-out.
If you notice that more than a day or two passes without a post at all, I’m either dead or have lost my internet.
Thanks for all of your comments, support & enthusiasm regarding this blog. It’s greatly appreciated!
And don’t forget, next time you’re in the market for a T-Shirt, give Our Krazy Kulture a try! 🙂

Well, the site’s been up for a couple of weeks now, and besides traffic from my Facebook fan page, I’m getting a lot of hits from WP tags and from Google searches, which is a good thing.
My idea in starting this site was to share news of old time radio as it originally was reported. I soon realized that tackling celebrities & shows was a big job, and soon changed the “format” to “today’s date in radio history.”
As it would take a very long time to follow this format year-by-year, I decided to go with round numbers and focus on 55 years ago, 60 years ago, etc. The years that I am currently researching are 1934, 1939, 1944, 1949 and 1954…..all dates from radio’s heyday.
Researching each year, on a day to day basis, takes up a lot of time, so for the next week or two, I will be researching the current week (rather than a single day) for each of the aforementioned years. So posts will be a little off for the next week or two, but I’m hoping to get “ahead” by tackling my project in this manner, as I want to continue to look at this as a hobby and don’t want it to become a dreaded job.
So please be patient as you see scattered dates popping up.
Thanks a million,

I have deleted all sub-categories, which were where one could find Old Time Radio Shows by title. I found that the categories were getting quickly out of hand, as I had so many of them. Instead, I’ve included a search box so that one can quickly find the show or personality for which they are searching. In the next few days, I plan to add sub-categories again, although they will consist of ‘genres’ rather than ‘show titles.’ I hope that nobody is inconvenienced by this change, but the excessive number of sub-categories that I had were starting to jumble up so that one couldn’t read the list or distinguish one category from another. Thanks for your understanding!
